E3: Microsoft Smart Glass set to take down Wii U

Own a Windows PC, Windows Phone, iPhone, iPad, Android, or any other Internet connected device?  Well if you also own an XBOX 360 you’re in luck.  Microsoft announced Smart Glass during their press conference and it is very similiar to the Wii U and it doesn’t require a new system or a special gamepad like the Wii U.  It’s double screen gaming with devices that most people already own.

The demo showed an example where you watch a movie on an iPad and then you continue watching the movie on the TV.  Same thing with playing Halo and seeing a map or playing Madden and picking your plays on the tablet/phone.  Nintendo will have to show some amazing games to combat this Microsoft technology and we’ll see what they have at tomorrow’s press conference.  Shots fired, let’s see how Nintendo returns fire.

In other news, Microsoft also announced the XBOX 360 will have Internet Explorer as its brower option now as well with Kinect connectivity.  About… time?
