The Nintendo Direct is here.  I’m hoping for some new games and new release dates.  Let’s see what Nintendo has in store for 2018!

WarioWare Gold (3DS)

  • Collection of 300 mini games
  • Available August 3, 2018

Dillon’s Dead-Heat Breakers (3DS)

  • Demo available May 10th
  • Available May 24, 2018

Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story + Bowser Jr.’s Journey (3DS)

  • Remake with additional content
  • Available 2019

Detective Pikachu + amiibo (3DS)

  • Talking gruff Pikachu is the main character and Tim
  • Available for pre-purchase now and available March 23, 2018

Luigi’s Mansion (3DS)

  • Remake of the GameCube title Luigi’s Mansion
  • Available this year

Kirby Star Allies (Switch)

  • Old enemies can be dream friends
  • More dream friends will be added for free
  • Available March 16, 2018
  • First free update will be available March 28, 2018
  • Free demo is available now

Okami HD (Switch)

  • Can use touch screen controls in handheld mode or joy-con controls in docked/tabletop mode
  • Available this Summer

Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido (Switch & 3DS)

  • Available June 8, 2018 on Switch and 3DS

Octopath Traveler (Switch)

  • Merchant Tressa and Apothecary Alfyn introduced
  • Merchant can buy items from townfolks
  • Apothecary can inquire and get more info from townfolks
  • Additional jobs can be equipped in battle
  • Available July 13, 2018
  • Special Edition will be offered

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes (Switch)

  • Total of 7 different game titles
  • Co-op multiplayer
  • Adventure mode as well
  • Available this year

Dark Souls Remastered + amiibo (Switch)

  • Network test before game launch
  • Solaire of Astora amiibo announced
    • Allows you to praise the sun with reckless abandon
  • Available May 25, 2018

MyNintendo Rewards

  • Gold coins can be redeemed for money for digital games

Mario Tennis Aces (Switch)

  • Basic shots, zone shot, blocks, zone speed, trick shots, special shots
  • Energy gauges to perform zone moves
  • Simple rules available (only basic shots)
  • Online multiplayer (up to 4 players)
  • Online tournaments with special in-game outfits and additional characters for participants
  • Swing mode allows you to use joy-con like a tennis racket
  • Story mode included
