IT professional who games a little too much, but loves every minute of it. I have been into video games since the age of 6 when I had an Atari 2600 and wasted every spare quarter on Donkey Kong and Pac Man arcade machines. I have tinkered with computers from the TI-994A to current Intel i7's.

Avid reader of fantasy and sci-fi novels from Tolkein to Martin to Stephenson. I love tech history, especially video games; from the introduction of the Atari VCS through our current generations. I want to know how they were created, why they were so good or bad and how I can become an actual part of that industry myself.

My place in this geeky family is to try and own it all. Current gaming platforms include PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, 3DS XL, iPad Retina, PC, Android Phone and table top board games when I get a free afternoon. Being a dad and fairly new home owner can be at odds with this role, but I am up for the challenge.

We encourage feedback and discussion and hope you will all engage us here at Live Geek or Die and on Twitter.
