Last week I was introduced to the work of Pogo, a musician who does a fantastic job of building downtempo electronica using samples from Disney films. He has apparently cleared these through Disney, and I think the resulting works are a fabulous illustration of how people are using tools to create fabulous new works from existing materials.

I've been a fan of mashups/sampling since I was a teenager. One of my other favorite YouTube mashups is the work of Kutiman:

People express concerns sometimes that technology stifles creativity, but I feel that these videos are great examples of how technology can also enhance creativity.  I hope you enjoyed.

Interesting music... I just think it's great that there is a huge image from Snow White right on the homepage of this site. :D
