
While not entirely as earth-shaking as Steve Jobs' resignation, another major geek celebrity is stepping out of the spotlight. Rob Malda, founder of Slashdot and known on the site as CmdrTaco, has announced that he is stepping down from daily operations with the popular website.
Before Digg or Reddit, Slashdot pioneered tech- and geek-related news with a democratic editing system. Malda is moving on to a job with Google.
