Today a friend put me onto the work of Jambe Davdar, who has single-handedly assembled three documentaries detailing each of the movies in the "original" Star Wars trilogy.

Gathering together disparate sources such as star interviews, actual movie footage, and alternate takes, Davdar has created a superb real-time documentary of each of the films that plays out in relatively the same amount of time as the movies.

Davdar is not charging for these documentaries, but has uploaded torrents of the documentaries and has released them in ten-minute chunks to YouTube.

If you read the reviews on Davdar's site, the docs are getting many accolades. I watched the first segment and found it a wealth of knowledge.
