Courtesy of the Huffington Post we get this story about classy state representative Nick Levasseur:

New Hampshire State Rep. Nick Levasseur has apologized for saying, "Anime is a prime example of why two nukes just wasn't enough," on Facebook.

The weird thing about this comment is I could have sworn that I have heard it somewhere before, either on the Extra LIfe Radio podcast or the Adam Carolla podcast.  I can't Google up any proof of my crazy imagination however.

Apparently Nick also got into trouble back in 2008 for having a MySpace profile that was intended as an ironic comment on the Cheney hunting accident.

Hard to believe that someone would be so ignorant of the political implications of such a comment, especially when it can anger two of the most rabid groups: anime fans and New Hampshire Republicans.

New Hampshire Rep apologizes for suggesting Anime warrants nuclear war (via Huffington Post).
