Why is Carol Price receiving so many boxes of Kittens and what does she do with them??? I have a no animal policy in the building... That is the third time this hour the census guy has come looking for Hugo Gomez. Is their record keeping that bad? Why do the police keep looking for Kathleen Miller and isn’t it odd that they tip me each time I help them find her??? What is happening in my Tiny Tower!?!?!?

The world of Tiny Tower, if you think too long on it, is a little scary. Though, once you get past the weirdness of the dialogue you will likely be addicted for at least a short time. Or maybe more, as I have been. Tiny Tower is a free to play sim that offers microtransactions to speed up the gameplay and advancements within the simcity like ecosystem.

You are the Super of a building inhabited by Bitizens who need places to live, shop, eat and generally be merry. As the Super you must add floors to the building and choose how to populate those floors from categories such as: Service, Recreation, Housing, Food and Retail. Your Bitizens have wants and desires that are shown in a simple graph to let you know what is most desired in their vertical town. As with other games in this (genre??) each newly built floor takes an increasingly longer time to be completed. And each item to be purchased takes longer to stock the higher it is in the tower. If you choose not to wait you can pay real money for additional TowerBux to speed the process along. Fortunately I have had the willpower up to this point and am involved in enough other games and distractions that I haven’t needed these bux. But the price is reasonable if you really enjoy these on-the-go sims.

As your tower grows increasingly higher, it becomes a little cumbersome to keep all of your stores adequately stocked and to help various Bitizens take advantage of the elevator to shop and eat. You can upgrade the elevator that lets you shuttle your Bitizens up to their desired floors, but that costs a large number of precious TowerBux which I am trying to collect solely through gameplay without visiting the in game, real money store.

The price is absolutely right since it is free and it offers a reasonable amount of entertainment without forcing you into any deep gameplay. If you get deeper into it you can Micromanage your Bitizens by evicting them to min-max their job preferences which help speed up the store restocking speeds. If you don’t, then you can simply enjoy a slow paced, no worries small economy sim. The game also calculates the time you are offline and rewards you with additional in game funds when you log in.

The game is available on iOS and Android at the time of this writing. There are some Android devices that are buggy or do not work so please check the reviews and comments if you experience any issues. I have 18 floors....
