According to ShackNews, Kid Icarus: Uprising for the 3DS will be sold with a 3DS stand due to the number of complaints Nintendo has received from gamers who have previewed the game.  The game is known for causing pretty severe hand cramping based on the way you need to grip the 3DS to play the game.  The stand was created to alleviate or lessen those issues. On top of that, Kid Icarus: Uprising is Circle Pad Pro compatible as well, so imagine that on the 3DS on this stand.

Insanity.  I would have hoped someone at Nintendo would have taken a step back and said there is an inherent problem with playing the game, and not throw peripherals at it to fix the issue.  Anyone in their right mind could see this is not a solution and just a work-around, but maybe the game is too far along to correct the control issues now (seeing how it has a March 23, 2012 release date and has been delayed countless times).  Also, a stand like this makes the system less "portable"... which is always a bad thing for a portable gaming system.
