Yesterday I wrote up a review roundup for Duke Nukem forever, and the prevailing opinions are not favorable.  The game is currently resting at an abysmal 48 on Metacritic.
Apparently the negative feedback was too much for The Redner Group, the PR firm hired by 2K games to promote Duke.  Ars Technica reports that the tweet pictured above appeared in TRG's Twitter feed (before being yanked when it caused too much negative PR.)
While this has always been a dirty little secret of the gaming industry (poor scores result in late or no advance copies on upcoming games), never before has any PR group been so public about this fact.  Since the tweet was posted, Redner has been furiously backpedaling to try to do some damage control, (probably because 2K threatened to send Duke himself over), but because the internet is forever Redner will probably be lucky if it gets any PR business in the future.
