Destructoid reports that Gearbox Entertainment recently did a solid for one of its fans in memory of another fan.

A gamer wrote to Gearbox saying that his recently deceased friend Michael had been a huge Borderlands fan and requesting a short eulogy be read by Claptrap, the game's snarky robot.  Gearbox did them one better by saying that Michael would be memorialzed in Borderlands 2 as an NPC.  The message from Gearbox is available on the Destructoid site, we can't link it here.  Good on Gearbox for understanding that the fans are their bread and butter.
