After a disappointing reaction to Red Faction: Armageddon, it appears that THQ has decided that the Red Faction universe is a niche and will not do any further development for the IP.

THQ did praise Red Faction developers Volition and notes that they will be moving ahead together on the game Insane.

We found Red Faction:Guerilla rather entertaining and were sorry to see that Armageddon failed to build on that success.  Perhaps the world of totally destructable environments will return in a new form in the future.
