Chances are if you've played some of the AAA titles of the past ten years, you're familiar with Jennifer Hale's voice.
Her most recent claim to fame is as the female voice of Commander Shepard (a.k.a. FemShep) in the Mass Effect series. I was actually so impressed with her voicework in the clips I saw that I decided to replay through MassEffect with a FemShep just to hear her superb skills. (By the way, my FemShep is more of a renegade than my BroShep was on the first playthrough. Did Hale's acting have an effect on me?)
However, she has built an impressive video game voice acting resume, including:
- Bastila in Knights of the Old Republic and the upcoming The Old Republic MMO
- Meryl in Metal Gear Solid
- Samus in Metroid Prime
- Trishka in Bulletstorm
Plus, she's Canadian!
Unfortunately Destructoid's interviewer is pretty clumsy throughout the conversation, but at least we can see the actor behind the voice.
