Deus Ex is a now classic first person shooter that integrated interesting role playing elements to create an impressive story in a cyberpunk world. While it doesn’t hold up graphically, the story and gameplay elements are still talked about today with much respect.
Human Revolution is a prequel to the original game and strives to do right by it’s fans and its legacy as a top rate title. As you will see from the reviews below, the game delivers on almost every front, heralding in the beginning of a long list of big name titles that will carry us through to the holidays. Here is what some reviewers had to say...
Jeff Gerstman at Giant Bomb is augmented (4/5): “The world of Deus Ex: Human Revolution is absolutely worth seeing, and that trumps any of the little issues that pop up along the way. “
Jim, Kieron, Alec and John at RockPaperShotgun have been (Hacked): “They like it. They like it a lot. But not without reservation. Read on to hear about why a wall is a man’s best augment, and why Kieron is feeling all dirty after kissing Geralt.”
Jim sterling at Destructoid gets a brain implant (9.5/10): “...Human Revolution's narrative takes the very best of Metal Gear Solid, merrily pinches elements from Blade Runner, and adds its own unique blend of fascinating characters and satisfying plot twists. It is, in short, one of the most intriguingly written, thematically ambitious games I have ever played.”
