dust2

As a followup to an earlier story we posted, Ubisoft has responded to the criticism of its DRM procedures for From Dust, announcing on its message boards that the game would no longer require an internet connection to be played.

Ubisoft will issue a patch to the game in approximately two weeks that will remove the DRM function.  Hopefully Ubisoft will learn from this and think more critically about including restrictive DRM in its games in the future.
