The Playstation Network has been offline for multiple days. We were initially tepid on the news, but news is coming out now that not only was the network shut down due to external attacks, but those attacks may have resulted in most or all of customers' personal data being compromised.

On the Playstation blog Sony provides recommendations of steps PSN users can take to mitigate possible indentity theft.  Good luck PSN users.
