According to IGN, Sony is going to be following in EA's footsteps and launching a
PSN Pass for its online games, starting with Resistance 3. For folks not familiar with these passes, they are basically a deterrent for anyone to buy the game used as you cannot play online without an online pass (which only comes with a new game purchase). If you buy the game used and want to play online, you need to purchase a pass from Sony (or EA depending on the game) for $10 and then you can play the used game online. Will this affect Resistance 3's sales? Only time will tell...
