Capcom has been in rare form recently. Not only did they have the Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D save file debacle, but now they are cancelling two highly anticipated upcoming Mega Man games. Both Mega Man Legends 3 (and the prototype demo they were producing) for 3DS and Mega Man Universe for XBLA and PSN have been officially cancelled by Capcom.
Capcom had this to say:
"Unfortunately it was not felt that the Mega Man Legends 3 Project met the required criteria, and it is with regret that we must announce that the Mega Man Legends 3 Project has been cancelled, meaning that Capcom will not be releasing the Prototype or the full game."
Fans are already starting to fight back but Capcom says they have no plans to restart either project. Sad news for the Blue Bomber's fanbase. This may be partly due to the fact that Mega Man's creator, Keiji Inafune, left Capcom some time ago, but Capcom isn't really providing a complete story here. Heck, Mega Man was also pulled from Marvel vs. Capcom 3 as well. These coincidences are starting to become way too strange for me...
