Ken Rolston from Rhode Island's 38 Studios announced the official release date for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning during EA's Gamescon 2011 keynote as February 7, 2012.  Given that Star Wars: The Old Republic and Mass Effect 3 are both expected in Q1 of 2012, this means that Amalur is set to become the most forgotten game of 2012.  All kidding aside, I hope this ambitious effort can stand out from the crowd of AAA titles due at the beginning of next year.
