You may remember a little while back that Capcom was cancelling Mega Man games like it was going out of style, when the creator of Mega Man, Keiji Inafune, left Capcom. Mega Man fans were wondering if the 8-bit wonder would ever be returning to a video game again or if this was indeed the end. Well, most fans never thought they would see their beloved hero end up like this...
Remember the original Mega Man's box art when it debuted on the NES? How you could forget right? For those that may be too young or forgetful, let me refresh your memories:

Truly horrifying, I know. Well I don't know if this is a jab against Mega Man's creator leaving, a practical joke at the expense of Mega Man fans everywhere, or just Capcom's attempt at bringing Mega Man back to the video game world but Mega Man is going to be in the upcoming Street Fighter X Tekken... just not as you would expect him to look. BEHOLD:

I personally don't find this funny, maybe a LITTLE comical, and I'm typically a guy that can take a joke. I understand that he's the original Mega Man box art's Mega Man, but this is a little "too soon" after all the latest nonsense Capcom has been pulling on Mega Man lately. I don't believe including Mega Man in this form in Street Fighter X Tekken and not including Mega Man in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is a smart business move. Capcom, don't bite the hand that pays your salary and please bring back Mega Man to his original form and give classic gamers some more 8-bit Blue Bomber love. For those of you that enjoy this joke, by all means enjoy it, but I'm hopeful the real Mega Man will please stand up...
