Interested in buying Xenoblade Chronicles? How about picking out the special edition reversible cover? If you said yes to the first question, sorry you gotta wait for it to be released in early April. For the second question, however, feel free to become a fan of Nintendo on Facebook and you will be able to cast your vote by "liking" the art you enjoy the most. The artwork with the most "likes" will become the title's reversible cover when it is released in the U.S.

I was browsing around Club Nintendo today as I often do and noticed that 4 new game rewards were being offered. They are the following:
It is noted in each game that this offer will only be good until January 31, 2012. If you see what you like, these are really good games for essentially free after registering. If you don't like what you see, I'm guessing in February they will offer different games for reward coins.

There are tons of good reviews going around for Skyward Sword and it is justifiably so. I just 100% completed Skyward Sword and also recently 100% completed Ocarina of Time 3DS so I think it is the perfect time to compare the two and see which one comes out the victor based on a set of 7 different categories. There are some minor spoilers in the comparison so read at your own risk. I don't spoil the endings or anything major, but if you don't want to know anything about either game, then I guess you shouldn't be reading this comparison. :)

A lot of Zelda fans couldn't tell you the chronological order of all the Zelda games and there is good reason for it... Nintendo itself hasn't even figured it out yet and if they did, they haven't revealed the order to the fans. Well, that was true up until this point but in a recently released Hyrule Historia the timeline was finally revealed. If you would like to see a nicely drawn up timeline (warning it's ~7.2 MB) click here. It is very interesting to see how all the games fit in, and even more interesting to see Skyward Sword be the first in the list. It is even more interesting to see what happens after Ocarina of Time!

You may have remembered when I posted about Operation Rainfall back in July. One of the games they were fighting Nintendo to bring to the States was Xenoblade Chronicles (aka Monado: Beginning of the World). Looks like they were successful as Nintendo officially announced on their Facebook page that Xenoblade Chronicles will be coming to the U.S. next year on the Wii (slated for April 2012). The official quote from Facebook is below:
It's confirmed! Next year, Wii players throughout North America can wield the Monado blade and join the epic battle between the Homs and the Mechons in Xenoblade Chronicles. Like this post if you're ready for an adventure on the surface of two frozen Titans!
I'm personally very happy that Nintendo is releasing this game. Wii owners, buy this game and support Nintendo when it caters to the hardcore gamer!

According to an IGN article, Nintendo is having a great November. Skyward Sword is the fastest selling Zelda game of all-time, Super Mario 3D Land is the fastest selling portable Mario game of all-time, the Wii sold 500,000 units on one day (Black Friday), and 3DS sales are up 325% since the first week in November. With Mario Kart 7 coming out for the 3DS in a couple days, one can only imagine 3DS sales will go up even further. Here's hoping Nintendo keeps up the good news and doesn't become complacent.
Like playing as Meta Knight in Super Smash Bros Brawl? Think you're getting good enough to use him in the latest Smash Bros tourney? Well I'd give it a second thought as Meta Knight has been officially banned from tournaments. I never had a problem with Meta Knight but apparently he has some very advantageous moves that monopolize the air and ledges in most levels. To be honest, I think King Dedede is a much more broken character but the majority has spoken! The ban goes into effect starting Jan 9, 2012.

If you are looking for good discounted Wii games to play (if you don't already own them), feel free to take a look at the four newest additions to the Nintendo Selects line of games. Super Paper Mario, Mario Strikers Charged, Punch-Out, and Super Mario Galaxy will be available for $19.99 starting August 28th. I own all four of them and you can't go wrong with any one of these titles.

While the Wii may be dying with the announcement of the new Wii U system... and the announcement that no JRPGs are coming to the system... and the only worthwhile game to pick up is Zelda: Skyward Sword, there is one game to save them all. Kirby Wii? Ok I guess you weren't expecting that and neither was I.

For those of you that are unfamiliar with Operation Rainfall, they are a huge group of Wii owners that are campaigning for Nintendo to release 3 games in the US that are available in Japan only and some that are making their way to Europe (not Pandora's Tower). Those 3 games are Last Story, Pandora's Tower, and Zenoblade Chronicles (aka Monado: Beginning of the World). Nintendo of America (NoA) is currently standing their ground that they will not be releasing these games in America, despite the outcry for JRPGs, 2 of them are already localized in Europe, and also there are hardly any future games on the dwindling system to look forward to... except Zelda: Skyward Sword.
