In September Sony updated their PSN user agreement to prevent users from participating in class action lawsuits. With the December XBL update, Microsoft has followed suit, except users have no opt-out option this time around. We would be remiss if we did't take Microsoft to task about this after bashing EA and Sony for it. It's particularly irritating that Microsoft is forcing its users into this when their only other option is to stop using XBox Live.

A very specific form of hacking has been going on over the past few months - XBoxLive users are reporting that their accounts have been compromised and used for the purchase of DLC and addons for FIFA 12. The association with FIFA 12 would lead us to believe that the hackers are not US-based, mainly because no one in the US cares about international soccer.
Regrettably both Microsoft and Electronic Arts (the game's publisher) are denying any connection between FIFA 12 and any user account hacking. Microsoft probably does not want any air of insecurity around XBoxLive after the PSN fiasco earlier this year, but regardless of the PR implications, Microsoft shouldn't attempt to bury its head in the sand to the detriment of its customers.
After digesting all of the linked reviews in this roundup, Gears of War 3 meets and perhaps exceeds almost all expectations laid before it. For a series with as much cachet this one, that’s an extremely tall order and it’s exciting to see the start of the fall and holiday gaming season kick off with such promise.

Microsoft is doing well in the United States with their XBOX 360 sales. However, that same success has not been replicated when Microsoft headed over to Japan to battle with Nintendo and Sony for sales in their home country. According to Edge, Japanese retailers are starting to scale back their supply of the system due to poor sales.
I did not want to write an article as much as I just wanted to share the great news. The Bastion Soundtrack is here and available for purchase. The music is great and vital to the experience of the game. If you have an Xbox and have not played the game, get the game and play it before you listen through the music as it is a essential part to the story. I play track 21 over and over partly due to what it means to the game and it's ending. And if you played and enjoyed the game, please support the artists and buy the album. Enjoy!

Ubisoft announced that From Dust had the highest first-day sales of any XBLA title Ubisoft has ever released, and that sales were 45% higher than their previous best selling XBLA title. More good news for Ubisoft - they have yet to release the PSN and PC versions of the game.

I have given about two and a half hours to the endeavor of building the Bastion and I can say I have sincerely enjoyed it. It offers a unique art style and dialogue to deliver it’s take on the Action-RPG genre. It’s standout piece is the narrator who tells the story of The Kid dynamically, adjusting for your choices and mistakes.
