Via BostInnovation, I read about the CISters, a student group at Northeastern University focused on supporting women interested in Computer Science studies.
On a campus where the male-female ratio in the College of Computer Information Sciences (CCIS) of 9 to 1, support for women interested in CIS is critical. The group is more socially focused rather than project based, but there's nothing wrong with giving women a chance to share their experiences in tech studies in a positive atmosphere. We're happy that groups like this exist.
