On June 18 Jason Valdez of Ogden Utah took a woman hostage in a motel.  During the hostage crisis, he used Facebook to send messages to friends and family.  While most friends questioned Valdez's intelligence/sanity/judgment, some actually responded to his updates with information about police activities.  Police are considering obstruction of justice charges.
